Weight loss diet plan with vegetable protein is most likely to help you lose weight, according to science.
Low-carb high-protein diets have been shown in some clinical studies to help dieters with fast weight loss as the fat keeps them satiated for longer.
Some feel this gives them carte blanche to gorge on steaks and bacon, but according to a new study, this is not the best method to achieve weight loss.
The work, published in the journal Food and Nutrition Research found that proteins from vegetables fill people up better than proteins from meat and other animal products.
The plant protein is better at keeping you full, according to researchers.
The study asked 43 young men to eat different breakfasts.
One was a meat patty with potato mash and the second was a patty made from legumes such as lentils with a mash made from split peas.
The third was a low protein legume patty with potato mash.
The high protein plant-based patty was more effective than the meat patty at keeping dieters full.
They also consumed 12 to 13 percent fewer calories at lunch if they ate the legume burger compared to others.
It is thought this could be down to the higher amounts of fibre in the legumes.
It was found that adding fibre to your diet plan in 2018 will help you lose weight recently.
