Which beauty products do you swear by?
I use Neutrogena Facial Wash every night before I go to bed. I wear so much make-up for Strictly and this helps keep my skin clear.
I moisturise afterwards, using Elemis Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm or ESPA Overnight Hydration Therapy.
Do you have any top beauty tips?
It’s so crucial that you go to bed with absolutely no make-up on – it’s easy to come home tired and just lay down and sleep, but it’s the worst thing you can do for your face.
How do you stay in shape?
When I’m on Strictly, I don’t do much because we are training. When I’m not, I will go on the treadmill two or three times a week just for 25 minutes, then I might do some body sculpting.
For dancing I need to have long lean muscles, so I do lots of stretching too.
What’s your diet like?
I love cereal but I don’t drink cows’ milk. I drink this dairy-free product called Mylk from Rebel Kitchen and it tastes like whole milk – it’s amazing.
I also love a banana with peanut butter if I really need a lot of energy for the day, and of course a huge cup of coffee.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Growing up in Miami and coming from a Cuban family, I’m used to food being quite sweet! So if I do crave a little bit of sweetness, I have one of those mini Lindt chocolates.
Which other women do you think are beautiful?
All women are beautiful – we all have something gorgeous or glamorous about us that perhaps we don’t appreciate as much as we should. It’s good to celebrate women.
What is your signature fragrance?
Zadig & Voltaire This Is Her! It lasts all day. How would you describe your style?
I really love jeans and a T-shirt. Also a blazer and Converse sneakers.
Do you have a favourite shop or designer?
My favourite designer is Julien Macdonald; he made my wedding dress [for her wedding to Strictly dancer Aljaž Škorjanec]. High street-wise, I like Miss Selfridge.
Who is your style icon?
Victoria Beckham. She looks amazing in whatever she wears.
Catch Janette on Strictly Come Dancing, tonight, 6.35pm, BBC1.
