The most common type of the condition, osteoarthritis, is caused by a gradual wearing down of the smooth cartilage that lines the joints.
Arthritis symptoms can include joint pain, stiffness, restricted movement, and muscle wasting.
The pain causes the majority of patients to suffer from sleep deprivation, it’s been revealed.
Their average night’s sleep will only consist of between two and five hours sleep.
Elaine Fraser, 62, managed to double her time spent sleeping each night by taking FlexiQule supplements.
Fraser started getting serious joint pain when she was 55.
She spent five years with her GP and physiotherapist, but no treatment managed to reduce her chronic pain.
“I was left having to sleep in a chair upright for 18 months, which was hellish,” Fraser said.
“I felt like I simply had to get used to having a bad shoulder. It caused a constant dull ache and it started to restrict my life.
“I tried everything from taking cod liver oil supplements to physiotherapy sessions at my local hospital but after a while the physiotherapist said that she couldn’t improve my pain because the problem was inside the joints.”
But this winter, Fraser began taking FlexiQule natural supplements.
The supplement is made up of boswellia and ginger extracts, and aims to relieve joint pain.
Fraser’s shoulder pain was much easier to manage after adding FlexiQule to her diet, she claimed.
“I could open jars easily, whereas previously I would struggle with these kinds of jobs,” she said.
“Then after eight weeks of taking FlexiQule, I noticed that my sleep was remarkably better. I wear a Fitbit to keep track of my sleep patterns and measure exactly how much undisturbed sleep I get.
“Since taking FlexiQule, my sleep has increased from three hours per night to six hours rest.”
There’s currently no cure for arthritis, but there are some treatments that could reduce symptoms, the NHS said.
Painkillers or corticosteroids could help to relieve your arthritis pain, it added.
Your GP may suggest physiotherapy if your joint pain doesn’t improve.
Regular exercise could also help to prevent pain, it said.
It could also improve your joint mobility, reduce stiffness, and boost your energy.
